ACUPUNCTURE
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture involves the use of fine needles inserted at specific acupuncture points that run along Meridians (channels) to balance the physiological and energetic system of the body. Oftentimes, the practitioner’s ability to see and emit the energy makes the difference in healing. Depending on the direction of qi flow the practitioner wishes to stimulate, they may use acupuncture needles made of various materials in combination with Moxibustion, a TCM therapy using moxa made from dried mugwort (Artemisia argyi). Practitioners use moxa to warm regions and meridian points with the intention of stimulating circulation through the points, inducing a smoother flow of qi and blood. It can treat conditions associated with the “cold” or “yang deficiencies” in Chinese Medicine.
